“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
– Philippians 4:6

Prayer is the living relationship of the children of God with their Father who is good beyond measure, with His Son Jesus Christ and with the Holy Spirit. The many opportunities for prayer at Notre Dame include:

First Saturday Fatima Devotions– currently on hiatus
This prayer group meets on the first Saturday of every month to fulfill our Lady’s requests. The recitation of the Holy Rosary and prayers to our Lady of Fatima immediately follow the first Saturday 8:45am Mass.

Legion of Mary– currently on hiatus
The object of the Legion is the glory of God through the holiness of its member, developed by prayer and active participation in the Church’s work. This includes conducting Bible studies, holding Catholic great books discussions, hospice ministry, Sacred Heart Holy hour and many others. The Legion of Mary meets on Wednesdays, 9:30-11:00 am in the Marian Room.

New Life Prayer Group
The New Life Prayer Group offers praise and thanks to God in song, prayer and Scripture reading (bring your Bible). There is often time for silence and for sharing how God is acting in our lives. Meetings end with prayers of petition and the Our Father. The Holy Spirit has guided many who attend to discern their gifts and to serve others in ministry. Share our joy in praising God every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in the back of the church. For more information, please contact Bill and Judy Cormack at (630) 323-3940

Prayer Requests: The New Life Prayer Group also takes Prayer requests.

Rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm in the Marian Room. We pray the scriptural rosary for the Holy Souls and share the Church’s teaching about Purgatory. The scriptural rosary book & rosary for the Holy Souls may be found at the Catholic Shoppe in Downers Grove. Please contact Marie Stack with any questions at (630) 888-9173 or mstack24@comcast.net
