Notre Dame P.A.D.S. (Public Action To Deliver Shelter) is a ministry that works to provide shelter and food for homeless persons and families. We are one of the congregations affiliated with DuPage PADS, a not-for-profit organization that is committed to end and prevent homelessness in DuPage County. Working together with volunteers from Holy Trinity Parish in Westmont, we provide sleeping arrangements, meals and other hands-on services from 6pm to 7:30am at a local shelter on the first weekend of each month. Volunteers are needed to work all shifts and to help with set-up, meal preparation and serving, clean-up, and laundry.

Once a month, from October to April, volunteers from Notre Dame and Holy Trinity, staff the PADS site at Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills.  This ministry provides each guest with a bed, sleeping space, two warm meals and a bag lunch. Volunteers are needed to staff four-hour shifts, donate and prepare meals for guests, and wash bedding.
